Corrupt Business and Police Officer Filed a False Police Report Against A Peer Reviewed Politics^™ Journalist For Exposing Federal HIPAA and State Unprofessional Conduct Law Violations using a Whistle Blower Customer at Baze Chiropractic.

This is a video of a chiropractor office who violated HIPAA Act and Unprofessional Conduct laws of medical consumers.  The journalist who video taped these unlawful violations of law was the husband of this customer patronized this chiropractor.  In this documentary and video you will see the journalist rights were violated when he was falsely charged with several unconstitutional laws and crimes, which he never committed.

The journalist had to hire several attorneys in order to find a professional defense attorney.  After hiring this defense attorney, the attorney complained that the laws that Renton Police and prosecutor were charging the journalist with were unconstitutional.  The prosecutor then went as far as to invented new charges to charge the journalist with in order to secure a conviction.  The prosecutor even so much as threaten the journalist with even more time in jail, because the journalist had posted the video online and was challenging the prosecutions false conviction of the journalist.  The journalist refused to take down the video and went to court to defend himself.  The attorney who represented the journalist was a very bright and extremly intelligent attorney named Nate Crowley.

When the verdict was rendered by the jury, they unanimously found that the Journalist was NOT GUILTY of any type of crime, whatsoever.

The video completely shows the journalist was not guilty of any crime, as well.  The prosecutor tried extremely hard to limit what the jury could see and hear in the video, including what was in original charging documents.  The jury was absolutely on to this lying prosecutor who was trying everything to hide the previous unconstitutional charging documents and then limit what could be seen and heard in the video, by the jury.

This false prosecution costed nearly $20,000 in legal cost, more than a year of headaches, and threats by the prosecutor's office, in the Journalist trying to defend himself from false allegations lodged by the prosecutor, the officer, and Baze Chiropractic.

After this trial, the journalist had found out he had stage 4 cancer during the trial and found this out in October 2022 medical diagnoses .  The journalist and his wife were planning on filing lawsuits against the police, the prosecutor, and the chiropractor's' office, but the medical cost and cancer treatment time prevented the journalist from taking this into a federal court to be heard.  Mr. Hoffer stated, the money spent on his legal fee's could have been used for much more important things, like his medical cost.

This video has been taken down several times by hacking attempts of the police's IT department (more than one agency) as well as other threats to those who have hosted this video.  This is Local Government Corruption at its Worst and that is why it is listed under our Local Corruption tab on our website.

(Renton, Washington):  Baze Chiropractic and a Renton Police Officer filed a false police report with the Renton City prosecutor against a Peer Reviewed Politics^™ reporter Alan Hoffer who is an experienced IT person, licensed XII rated Remote Pilot, and video/photographer, which was investigating HIPAA violations and unethical conduct by Baze Chiropractic. Mr. Hoffer is the owner of the insurance policy, which covered Ms. More.  The reporter's partner Melissa More was a patient at Baze Chiropractic and she alerted her partner to the business not providing medical records and medical billing information.

In an unrelated story, the reporter was working on creating a documentary on how easy it is to steal your information.  Since the reporter's girlfriend stated to her partner that she was having issues getting her medical records, the reporter agreed since the business had someone embezzling in it, whereas that employee that was arrested, plus Ms. More being wrongly turn over to collection agency, because the business failed in its fiduciary duties, tried to force payment on Ms. More using a collection agency, whereas her contract was tied to a express agreement on a car accident settlement, between the chiropractor and Melissa More.

Melissa asked for help from her partner Alan Hoffer, who happens to be a part-time journalist, after her partner Alan was served with a lawsuit that was for Melissa More, which came from a collection agency on behalf of Baze Chiropractic.  Reporter Hoffer agreed to help Ms. More by video recording her going to Baze Chiropractic office to get her medical records, whereas she was denied them by Dawn Weyenberg Baze, (Will be continued).

Update July 12, 2021: More FOIA records were released to Peer Reviewed Politics^™ by Alan Hoffer and Melissa More to post on Peer Reviewed Politics^™ website.  The FOIA records clearly show that Dawn Weyenberg Baze, Clarence Tolliver and Lisa Rawlings all lied under oath and provided false testimony against Melissa More and Alan Hoffer to a Renton City Prosecutors office.

Currently, there is a case in the Renton Municipal Court in Renton, WA against the reporter Alan Hoffer for breach of peace.  With all the evidence up to this point, Officer Clarence Tolliver at this point should be added to the Brady list, removed from the field, and all of the accusers should be charged with perjury and forced to provide restitution to Ms. More and Mr. Hoffer.  We will make these all these records available as soon we redact the personal information in the documents and scan them.

Update July 13, 2021: The Reporter's attorney supposedly called the city attorney to see if there going to dismiss.  Mr. Hoffer's attorney didn't return the call.  At about 1:30 pm PDT, Alan Hoffer joined a zoom conference and he found out that prosecutor Jason Brandon Mercer is still going ahead with the case against Mr. Hoffer, even after supposedly after seeing the video recording, which clearly proves and establishes that the Reporter did nothing wrong that could even possibly convict him of any type of crime whatsoever.

Again, the video clearly shows a conspiracy between Dawn Weyenberg-Baze and Officer Clarence Tolliver.  The video also shows that Dawn Weyenberg Baze and Officer Clarence Tolliver both had weapons (A Prison Shank and gun).  We really don't know why Dawn Weyenberg Baze brought out what appears to be a shank to hit Ms. More or Mr. Hoffer for in the first place.  Other evidence shows Dawn Weyenberg Baze had talked about Ms. More's Private Health care Information and invited the this customer, named 'Clarence Tolliver', into a medical conversation, whereas Dawn Weyenberg-Baze did not have authorization to share Ms. More's medical information with Clarence Tolliver.

Update September 13, 2021: Ms. More filed complaints with state and federal authorities.  The Office of Civil Rights responded and has informally resolved the complaint with education and warning.  A copy of the document can be found here.

According to Mr. Hoffer, his attorney Kelsey Ault can't see the prison shank in the video, whereas a still photographs were taken and posted here on the website from the video, which clearly shows a shank with what appears to be embedded glass on it.  Mr. Hoffer also stated that he spoke with his attorney the next day after sending this picture to his attorney.  Both Ms. More and Mr Hoffer, said the way Attorney Ms. Ault talks like she still has not viewed the video, after Ms. More and Mr. Hoffer hiring this firm in March of 2021.

Mr. Hoffer and Ms More stated that Ms Ault insinuated that Mr. Hoffer used profanity and threaten Ms.Weyenberg-Baze.  We here at Peer Reviewed Politics^™ viewed the video before posting.  The video that was taken by Mr. Hoffer, it has no profane language or threats in it whatsoever, by Mr. Hoffer.  The video clearly shows Mr. Hoffer was trying to help his wife and you don't see Mr. Hoffer doing anything to Dawn Weyenberg-Baze or anyone else, other than trying to speak to them.  Both More and Hoffer demanded Ms. More's' medical records and they told Ms. Weyenberg-Baze that she had to provide Ms. More her medical records and that she did not have a choice.

OCR has confirmed that Baze Chiropractic by law has to provide these records and that they don't have a choice.  Ms. More stated in complaint that we have read, that she has asked for medical records in three different occasions, so she could settle the claim.  In the video you can clearly see Ms. Weyenberg-Baze committing multiple felonies and whereas Officer Tolliver was an accessory to these crimes.  After reading the Ms. More's complaint and watching the video, you can see in Ms. More's complaint properly identified the crimes that were committed.  This could be why OCR informally handled this with the Chiropractors office.

According to Ms. More and Mr. Hoffer, they stated that they are still waiting on Melissa's medical records.  According to Mr. Hoffer, its been over 9 months so far since their third formal request.  Ms. More stated that she not long ago left a Yelp review and she said that she still had not got her medical records yet.  Ms. More stated that Baze Chiropractic breached their contract and caused problems with the settling her case with the insurance company. Our best guess, Baze Chiropractic and Ms. Weyenberg-Baze seem to be thumbing their noses at Federal Office of Civil Rights and the State of Washington.

Updated September 22, 2021: According Ms. More, she stated and provided Peer Reviewed Politics^™ with two written complaints to Federal and State entities about Baze Chiropractic, which alleges numerous broken laws, which can be confirmed in the video, and this may be the reason that Baze Chiropractic is hiding these medical billing records do to fraud and embezzling that took place at this chiropractors office according to the complaint.

Ms. More states, "otherwise why would Baze Chiropractic, PLLC., not be willingly providing me copies with my medical and billing records?"  Peer Reviewed Politics^™ believes this is an excellent question and the business should be providing Ms. More with a response

Ms. More continued to state that she has copies of old medical billing information from a previous car accident that she received from her old attorney.  According to Ms. More she went through her medical records, including these old records looking for a current contract.  Ms. More states in the billing, which was addressed to her insurance company, she was being billed for Essentia® water that she did not receive during chiropractors/massage visits and treatments.

Update January 22, 2022: On or about October 15, 2021, Baze Chiropractic, PLLC. sent Ms. More medical documents to her, after Ms More spoke with the State Prosecutor's Office and she asked why she still was not getting her medical and billing documents.  Ms. More also provided us a copy of her medical intake, which shows that Mr. Hoffer was not only a policy owner, but he is her partner too, according to the medical documents.  There is no doubt that Mr. Hoffer was a party.

In other news on this subject, Mr. Hoffer fired his attorney Kelsey Ault.  Mr. Hoffer did not comment on why, but its almost obvious in what's already been posted, that this was long coming, and we could see why, too.

Mr. Hoffer did comment on the fact that the Mayor of Renton and the Renton City Council were wrote and notified about this false police report too.  According to Mr. Hoffer, both offices were provided access to the video and complaint, but yet both offices have done nothing, which has cost Mr. Hoffer already over $20,000 in legal costs and lost labor.  The prosecutor has not dismiss the false accusation and that the city has taken no action any against the officer, the accuser, and witness for coerced, conspicuous, and false testimony about Mr. Hoffer.  There certainly appears to be an obvious hated toward Mr. Hoffer and it's totally clear that this is retaliation against Mr. Hoffer and Ms. More.  The video clearly shows and points this out too, when you compare the statements made by the accuser, the officer and the witness about Mr. Hoffer.

In the video, it clearly shows multiple lies made by the officer, the witness, and the accuser, we never see any issue with Mr. Hoffer breaking any kind of law he was charged with.  In fact, the law he was charged under is a Renton Ordinance, really not a law.  When we viewed the law, the Ordinance was wrote like some kind of, 'Thought Police Law', meaning you don't need to do an action, but if the City of Renton can think of something rotten you could do, the city can charge you with it.  We have never ever seen any laws wrote like this before.  It's definitely an unconstitutional law, and its though police law too.

Yet, we still see no evidence show such thought, contrary to the video, whereas the video completely clears Mr. Hoffer of any type of wrong doing whatsoever.  We don't see downloaded copy of Mr. Hoffers' mind provided by the city either, which we jokingly asked Mr. Hoffer if he had a copy of his mind to provide us, he laughed.  If the city had such capabilities, this could be used to prove Mr. Hoffer had these types of bad thoughts about the accuser in the first place and the 'Thought Police' could have arrested Mr. Hoffer at home without issue.  Not sure how the world would like this type of technology, but it appears the City of Renton sure looks like they''re ready to use it on the public.  We did look for this technology online and it appears it still has not been made, yet.  This just shows the accuser and city's claims are fictitious at best and it appears to more along the line of defamation against Mr. Hoffer by the City of Renton.  If you ask us, we are sure these accusations have been extremely harmful to Mr. Hoffer and Ms. More, who appear to be the only victims here.

Mr. Hoffer did state that he is exploring the possibilities of running for office to help fix these types of abuses within the system and to help bring more transparency within the local government.  When asked if Mr. Hoffer had plans to run against the Mayor of Renton?  Mr. Hoffer said, "Who knows what the future holds."

Update May 20, 2022: The Founder and Journalist of Peer Reviewed Politics^™, formerly Slim Shady Politics, - Owner Alan Hoffer was found Not Guilty of the many ever changing false charges that the City of Renton Prosecutor Jason Mercer, Baze Chiropractic, PLLC., and the City of Renton had filed against Mr. Hoffer.

In a all women jury verdict of 6 - 0, Mr. Hoffer was found not guilty of recent changes of charge against Mr. Hoffer for attempted assault in the fouth degree, whereas the original charge was a charge Disturbing the Peace.  Mr. Hoffer stated that this law was declared unconstitutional by the high court, because it's a thought law, and it was the reason the City dropped those charges and tried to convict him of an attempted assault in the fouth degree.

Peer Reviewed Politics^™ will continue adding more to this webpage in the near future and will be posting the complaints and an updated video, which Ms. More and Mr. Hoffer have released to Peer Reviewed Politics^™ to read and post.  Mr. Hoffer has indicated that he plans on completing a documentary on this story, as there are something's that we can learn from this experience regarding credit, collections, HIPAA rights, customer service and other pitfalls to avoid.

Dawn Weyenberg Baze's Renton Police Statement

The Victim's statement was obtained under a FOIA request by Reporter Alan Hoffer and the following information was obtained...

Hi Officer Tolliver,

The incident in question happened on Monday, December 28, 2020, around 11:45 am.  Our front desk area was very busy, and I was assisting a patient in the front entry of our building for privacy.  After I finished taking care of her, I was coming back through our front desk area to go back behind the desk, when Laura informed me that two people were wanting to speak with me.  I recognized the female as Melissa More, a patient I sent to collections back in the summer of 2020, if my memory is correct.  I had not heard from Melissa since January 2020, and I had heard she had contacted our office the week of Christmas twice.  I was out town that week, taking care of me father, and getting him moved into an assisted living facility.  I told Dr. Baze and Laura not to call her back.  Once we send them to collections we are not supposed to discuss that account, we are told to have them contact the collections agency.  Melissa showed up in our office with no heads up and brought a man with her.  I could tell by the look in their eyes, they were upset.  And with our reception area full, I asked them to come out in the foyer of our building to talk.  We step out there and we had two other patients standing out in the foyer.  So I asked them to step outside of the front door.  As we walked outside, I said to Melissa that since I submitted her to collections, I could not discuss it with her and that she had to contact the collections agency.  She had a pissed off look on her face and said that I need to give her a copy of her contract.  I told her we didn't have a contract with her.  I told her she had her patient history paperwork and a few other forms she had filled out in her file, but no contract.  She kept demanding that I drop everything and get her contact and forms she had filled out in her file, but no contract.  She kept demanding that I drop everything and get her contact and paperwork "Right Now".  I told her I had a full house in the office and that I couldn't get it done right at the minute, but I could get it done that day.  That when the man butted in and with a raised voice, stepped toward me and demanded that I get what Melissa was asking for.  I asked him who he was?  Melissa speaks up and said that he was her domestic partner.  I tried to speak with her again and he interrupted again demanding I take care of her NOW!  That's when Melissa said that she tried calling me the week before and I wouldn't call her back.  I explained to her that I was out of town the whole week taking care of my sick father and that this day was my first day back in the office.  The both yelled at me that they did not care! And were yelling at me to take care of them.  At that point I had enough and that I done with them.  As I turned to leave, I noticed that the man was turning towards me.  As I walked through the door I had heard a loud banging up against the door behind me.  It was Officer Tolliver stepping in between me and the man to cut him off.  I have also heard from a patient that witnessed what happened from just inside our buildings front door, that the man was winding up his arm as I was walking past him.

Renton Police Officer Clarence Tolliver's Statement

The following Police Officers statement was obtained under a FOIA request and the following information was obtained...

Call for Service

On December 28th, 2020 at approximately 12:08 hours, while at 200 SW 41st St #100 (Baze Chiropractic Clinic).  I observed two individuals causing a disturbance inside of the business.  This address is located within the City of Renton, County of King (WA).  I was working in plain clothes detective, but I had my badge attached to my belt loop along with my duty firearm and handcuffs.  My equipment was covered by my jacket that I was wearing.

The two individuals were identified as Melissa More, born ##/##/#### and Alan Hoffer, born ##/##/#### with their WADL.  More and Hoffer were raising their voices and arguing with the office manager.  They were upset of a civil issue with the business and said that they were not leaving until they had a copy of some contract.

More and Hoffer's were raising their voices to the point where some of the customers were looking and moving away from them.  The office manager identified Dawn Weyenberg asked them to step outside so that they could discuss the matter.  After they stepped outside, I could still hear Hoffer raising his voice towards Weyenberg through the closed exterior glass doors.  Because both Hoffer and More were becoming increasingly hostile towards Weyenberg.  I went outside with the intent being a witness for Weyenberg.

While outside, Hoffer and More were continually raising their voices towards Weyenberg, talking over her as she was trying to talk to them in a normal voice.  Hoffer was becoming increasing hostile, moving towards Weyenberg while raising his hands toward her during times and pointing his fingers towards her face.  Weyenberg would repeatedly step back and somewhat cowar.  At some point, as Hoffer was closing his distance between himself and Weyenberg, she yelled back and started crying, telling them she was unable to return their call last week (Christmas week) due to her caring for an ill family member.  As Hoffer and More raised their voices even more towards Weyenberg, Hoffer cocked his right arm/first back as if he were getting ready to punch Weyenberg.  Weyenberg looked and stepped back preparing to get hit.  I immediately stepped in between them, shoving Hoffer away from Weyenberg.  I told him twice to step back but he refused and told me no.

Hoffer move toward Weyenberg again while yelling at her.  I grabbed hold of his right arm, but Hoffer's forward momentum nearly placed me off balance.  I shoved Hoffer back in a manner thart moved him backward a couple feet.  I told Hoffer I was a police detective and showed him my badge attached to my belt.  I told Hoffer and More if they did not step back away from the building, I would arrest them.  Both Hoffer and More finally complied with my instructions and stepped back.  As I was radioing the situation to dispatch a witness approached me and handed me her business card.  The witness, who identified herself as Lisa Rawlings said that she witnessed Hoffer and More's hostile behavior towards Weyenberg.  Rawlings told me that she thought Hoffer was going to hit Weyenberg and was about to step in herself.
